Formed in 2006, AIVAR (eye-var) consists of a variety of established professional musicians writing uplifting original material from the infamous Silicon Valley. Members of this band have toured the Islands of Hawai’i, toured the western region of the nation, organized and orchestrated several music benefit productions, played at most if not all of the top venues in the Bay Area, been musically trained at SJSU and Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA, been sponsored by clothing companies (Left Coast Boardwear & Sense Boardwear) up and down the California coast, and performed with the best jazz, reggae, alternative, and rock musicians such as Mikey Dread, Tower of Power, Gwar, Strata, 880 South, Fallen, Double-Play, Eterni, The Reefers, We A Dem, Rocker T. Tough Lion, ARMY, Soul Majestic, Fiji, and many more. Members have also performed at Santa Clara County Fairs, The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, The Pound in San Francisco, The Independent in San Francisco, and have made appearances on MTV, PBS, and local channel 7 in San Jose, CA.
